Our Story

A century-long journey of faith, service, and community

Our Heritage

St. Paul's Lutheran Church was founded in 1838 in the heart of Lionville, establishing roots in a community that valued faith, service, and fellowship. For nearly two centuries, our congregation has remained a steadfast beacon of hope and spiritual growth in the Exton area.

As a proud member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we uphold the rich traditions of Lutheran theology while embracing a progressive vision for ministry. Our historic sanctuary has witnessed generations of families mark their most meaningful moments—baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and prayers of gratitude and lament.

Today, St. Paul's continues to honor our heritage while reaching forward with renewed energy, innovation, and a deep commitment to spreading God's love throughout our community and beyond.

Our Mission

We gather as God's beloved community to grow in faith, strengthen our relationships with Christ, and overflow with compassion and service into our neighborhoods and world.

Through worship, education, fellowship, and faithful action, we seek to embody the Gospel's call to love one another and serve those in need.
